FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are spaces inside lines converted too?
Yes. Every run of the chosen number of spaces becomes a tab, not only at the start of a line.
Why does a Makefile need tabs?
Make requires recipe lines to start with a tab character; spaces cause a "missing separator" error.
